Järfälla Adult Education and Activity Responsibility conducts municipal adult education both in authorized and self-managed forms and works with the municipality's activity responsibility, KAA. The operations are divided into Youth and Adult Guidance, focusing on the application and admission process as well as KAA, and Järfälla Learning Center.

The operations at the Learning Center consist of SFI, courses at basic and upper secondary levels in Swedish as a second language, vocational training in health and care, construction, restaurant, and food, as well as adapted adult education at basic and upper secondary levels. Here, all kinds of people meet, with different backgrounds and goals for their studies. We are passionate about providing all adults with new opportunities for education and work.

At any given time, about 1,600 students study with us, both full-time and part-time. Our teaching staff consists of about 50 dedicated educators. In addition to these, the school has study administrators, special educators, and additional study and career counselors.

The school is centrally located in Jakobsberg within walking distance to both commuter trains and buses.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who wants to help shape the future nursing assistants and healthcare personnel. As a vocational teacher, you will teach upper secondary vocational education in Health and Care. You will plan, implement, and follow up on the teaching while also working practically with the students in various method rooms and practical exercises.

This is a fixed-term employment for at least one year, with the possibility of extension. With us, you will become part of an engaged team where collaboration and creativity are at the center.

Job Duties:

• Plan and implement teaching in practical and theoretical aspects of health and care.
• Guide students in practical exercises, such as hygiene routines, care, and medication management.
• Design lesson plans and course materials that follow the goals of upper secondary vocational education according to the National Agency for Education's subject plans.
• Plan for APL and follow up on workplace-based learning.
• Assess and document students' knowledge according to applicable governing documents.
• Ensure that teaching follows hygiene and safety routines.
• Organize and lead practical moments that simulate real healthcare situations.
• Collaborate with colleagues in the team to develop education and create a holistic experience for students.
• Support students in language development and professional language related to health and care.
• Use digital tools for planning, communication, and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

• You are a licensed nurse.
• You are a qualified vocational teacher in Health and Care or in training to become a vocational teacher.
• You have current professional experience in health and care, preferably in healthcare.
• You have good collaboration skills, are attentive, and contribute your own experiences and ideas.
• You are positive and contribute to a good atmosphere in the team.

Meritorious:

• Experience in validation.
• Interest in students' language development.
• High digital competence.
